Tutorial 1: MRI Basics and Sequence Development
The below tutorials are software tools to interactively introduce and foster the understanding of MR basics and the methods behind MR imaging.
Module 1: MR Simulator
The Basic MRI Simulator is an interactive visualization tool that demonstrates the fundamental concepts of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Users can explore how magnetic fields, RF pulses, and relaxation times influence spin dynamics using 3D graphics and real-time simulation. The tool is ideal for teaching, learning, and experimenting with basic MRI physics. This (software) tutorial is available here.
Module 2: MRI Sequence Development using MevisMRLab
MevisMRLab is a Python based toolbox which helps you diving into basic concepts of MR sequences and the physics behind. Predefined modulus allow progress on different level of details. This (software) tutorial is available here.
Modul 3: gammaSTAR
gammaSTAR is a vendor-neutral, hardware-agnostic MRI sequence development and execution framework developed by Fraunhofer MEVIS: Institute for Digital Medicine. It is designed to allow researchers to develop new, complex MRI techniques and run them on different MRI scanners (Siemens, Philips, GE, and others) without having to reprogram the sequence for each vendor. Tutorials are available on gammaSTAR's website and GitHub page.
Tutorial 2: MRI Basics for MS Research
This tutotial provides an introduction to neuroradiology imaging for Multiple sclerosis (MS), basics of clinical diagnosis, followed by tutorials on neuroradiological evaluation, important diseases mimicking MS and case-by-case diagnostic tutorial on MS diagnosis.
