"Future of Imaging" at Bogazici University

The Future of Imaging (FOI) event, part of Siemens Healthineers Türkiye’s “Future Of” series, was successfully held on 19 December 2024 at Boğaziçi University’s Albert Long Hall, in collaboration with the Boğaziçi University Biomedical Engineering Institute. The TACTIX project contributed as one of the co-organisers, reflecting its active engagement in fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and the broader medical imaging community.

The TACTIX Project Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Esin Öztürk Işık, delivered a talk during the opening session, and several TACTIX consortium members participated in the event, underlining the project’s visibility and engagement within the imaging ecosystem. This interaction forms part of an ongoing collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, which has been further strengthened by Siemens’ recent opening of an Innovation Research Centre in Istanbul, creating new opportunities for dialogue between research and industry.

Following the event, the Project Coordinator also participated in dedicated meetings with Siemens representatives to explore avenues for continued cooperation, including knowledge exchange, alignment of research priorities, and potential future EU project applications. These interactions support the project’s objective of embedding its scientific work within a wider innovation and industry ecosystem.

With its strong focus on artificial intelligence, radiological advancements, and innovation-driven start-ups, the Future of Imaging event showcased emerging initiatives with clear potential to contribute to the future of healthcare and medical imaging, in line with TACTIX’s long-term scientific and capacity-building goals.
